My husband is a keen golfer and he absolutely cannot wait until the day he gets to take our son and daughter to the driving range but considering they are only 1 and 3 for now he has to be content with this golf set from The Early Learning Centre!

The set consists of just two clubs and two balls which is good but I know friends who have sets with a few more clubs and even a plastic golf bag so I would have perhaps liked a few more items but for ?8 who can complain. I see now that the set is on half price sale for the summer at only ?4 so its well worth it at that price.

The clubs are plastic but quite light and easy for little people to hold and swing. They are quite short obviously so they are at the perfect height for my son and daughter to play with. The clubs are nice and colourful and are so quite inviting and attractive for little people. The balls are golf ball size, I'm pretty sure, and are plastic but are bobbled to make them look like real golf balls which I think is a nice touch. They are light and so if you get a good hit on them they can go quite far. That being said don't let your husband hit them as they may, like mine, hit it into the neighbours garden and have to go round and retrieve it!!

The Early learning centre say, "Playing sports is a great way to be active and keep fit, and golf helps physical development and hand-to-eye coordination skills. " I completely agree, I think this is a great way of keeping my kids active, getting them to start enjoying a sport and playing together as well. Ever since we've had this set they always ask to go out in the garden so they can play golf and they are actually getting quite good at hitting the ball and getting it to go somewhere? Who knows, we may have a Tiger Woods in the making thanks to this Early Learning centre set. The Early Learning Centre say this golf set:

Improves Fine Motor skills
Improves Hand to Eye Coordination
Improves Instils confidence

all great skills as far as I'm concerned and what's more is that we have fun as a family playing together, precious moments!

Summary: ELC golf set
